Belford Village

Now by-passed by the A1 Belford is a peaceful place for the visitor but has
excellent access to all the places of interest in scenic Northumbria and the Scottish borders.  The Farne Islands and the Holy Island of Lindisfarne are only a short drive.  Being only 4 miles from Bamburgh Castle with its wonderful beaches and the bird sanctuary of Budle Bay, Belford is a perfect location for bird watchers.

The historic castles of Alnwick, Chillingham, Dunstanburgh, the walled town of
Berwick upon Tweed and the ancient villages of Ford and Etal all provide a unique
experience for visitors.

The Cheviot Hills close by can be enjoyed by walkers and climbers or those of us who just enjoy peace and quiet and a beautiful location.  Golfers can choose from a dozen courses locally.

Belford village provides the visitor with a Post Office, convenience stores (where you can get cash-back), craft gallery, café and a variety of interesting shops.

The Bluebell Hotel and The Black Swan Hotel are both a short walk from Market Cross Guesthouse.  A comprehensive bar meals menu or a-la-carte menu is
available.
Children's menus are available from both the local restaurants.

There are many excellent restaurants and country pubs within a short drive or taxi ride of the village. We can make recommendations and book on your behalf.

A Doctor, Dentist and Chemist are available in the village
